R&B singer-songwriter James Ingram has listed his home in Hancock Park for sale at $1,949,500.

The Spanish-style house, built in 1923, maintains its vintage character with a wrought iron staircase railing, high ceilings, stained-glass windows and original lighting fixtures. Approximately 3,250 square feet of living space includes living and dining rooms, an updated kitchen, a breakfast nook, a walk-in pantry, five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Ingram, 63, won Grammys for the 1980s hits Yah Mo B There and One Hundred Ways. He has worked with such musicians as Ray Charles, Donna Summer, Quincy Jones, Linda Ronstadt, Michael McDonald and Patty Smyth. The vocalist and keyboard player has released five studio albums, including Stand in 2008.

He bought the property in 1982 for $268,000, public records show.
