Retired Major League Baseball star Nomar Garciaparra and his wife, Olympic gold-medalist soccer player Mia Hamm, have bought another home in Manhattan Beach, for $2.2 million.

The two-story home, built in 2004, has an East Coast look with white-trimmed casement windows, overhanging eaves and beige shingles fronting the facade. Steps lead up to a powder blue-hued front door.

The roughly 4,450-square-foot house features a formal entry that opens to a step-down living room with vaulted ceilings and a paneled fireplace. French doors off the living room open to a balcony that faces the street.

Other living spaces include an eat-in kitchen with a center island, a family room, an office/bonus room, five bedrooms and five bathrooms. A two-car garage sits off the front of the home.

The property came up for sale in January for $2.599 million, records show. It previously sold more than a decade ago for $2.7 million.

Kelly Dube of Aloha Real Estate was the listing agent. Patricia Haught of Real Estate West represented the buyers.

Garciaparra, 43, twice won the American League batting title and made six all-star teams across 14 seasons with the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and Oakland As. He has served as a baseball analyst for SportsNet LA since 2014.

Hamm, 44, is a two-time Olympic medalist for Team USA, capturing gold at the 1996 and 2004 Summer Games. She won two World Cup championships as a member of the U.S. women's national team, and twice won FIFA World Player of the Year honors.

The couple owns other property in Manhattan Beach.
