'Dawson Creek's' Meredith Monroe swaps Sherman Oaks for gated Calabasas
Neal J. LeiteregActress Meredith Monroe of Dawsons Creek fame and her husband, talent manager Steven Kavovit, have bought a home in Calabasas and put another in Sherman Oaks up for sale for $2.3 million.
On the buy side, the couple paid $1.92 million for a contemporary-style Mediterranean home in a gated community.
The roughly 5,000-square-foot house, styled in hardwood floors and beige hues, has a two-story foyer that opens to living, dining and family rooms. A center-island kitchen has a breakfast area with French doors that open to the grounds. There are five bedrooms, five bathrooms and three fireplaces in all.

Their Sherman Oaks home, listed as accepting backup offers, is a Spanish Revival-style house built in 1929. Updated and restored, the 3,000 square feet of interiors retains such vintage details as artful Malibu tile, wood beams and a hand-carved front door.
Large formal areas, a media room, a chefs kitchen, four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms are among the living spaces.
A swimming pool with a Baja bench and an oversized spa lies within the hedged and fenced grounds.
The couple bought the property more than a decade ago for $400,000, records show.
Kara Karns of Keller Williams is the listing agent. Karns also represented the couple on their Calabasas purchase; Patte Gilbert of Wish Sothebys International Realty held the listing.
Monroe, 46, is known for her role as Andie McPhee on the series Dawsons Creek. Here other credits include Criminal Minds and Hart of Dixie.
